The Seven Sleepers
Hazrat Abu Darda, a famous hadith, is a hadith, such as the true Muslim Abu Dawud Tirmidhi Nasai and Masjid Ahmad. It is mentioned that the person who memorizes the first 10 verses of Surah Al-Kahf will be protected from the temptation of the Antichrist. This hadith indicates that the recitation and memorization of Surah al-Kahf has a special fluency effect of preventing the temptation of the Antichrist. The Dajjal is a great temptation that will come before the Day of Judgement, and it has been instructed by Allah to seek refuge in the early or last verses of Surah al-Kahf.
Lessons from this Story
According to the tradition of Musnad Ahmad, the recitation of the early and last verses of Surah Al-Kahf is given to the light from the steps to the head, while the recitation of the Surah is created from the earth to the sky. The recitation of Surah Al-Kahf is not only oral worship but also a source of spiritual light that enlightens the believer’s existence, enlightens his inner self, and protects it from the darkness of temptations.
In some traditions it is mentioned that the person who recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday creates a light for him that spreads from earth to sky. On the Day of Judgement, it will be a source of light protection and convenience for it. Imam Ibn Kathir has explained that this tradition is permissible; that is, it is not related to the Prophet (ﷺ) but to a Companion, which, although the hadith is not mentioned, is found in its meaning of spiritual effect and virtue.
The Parable of the Farmer
Hafiz Zia Al-Muqaddisi has quoted a tradition from Hazrat Ali in his well-known book, in which the Prophet (ﷺ) described the recitation of Surah Al-Kahf as a strong means of preventing temptations. The Prophet (ﷺ) said that the person who reads Surah Al-Kahf on Friday, Allah protects him from all kinds of temptations, whether they be outward or inward, in time or in the future. Even if a great temptation like the Dajjal appears, that person is in the protection of Allah, and the Dajjal’s tests cannot harm him.
Adam and Shaytaan
In a tradition of Dailami, it is narrated from Sayyidna Anas, which is also present in the Book of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). This tradition indicates the signs of Surah Al-Kahf. The ego of such great angels by Allah at the time of his descent shows his spiritual power and contemporaneity.
The Cause of Revelation
In a tradition from Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbas, Imam Ibn Jarir Tabari said that Quraysh Makkah had advised the Jewish scholars of Madinah to ask three questions to seek information about the Prophet (ﷺ). First, ask about the youths who went out of their hometown and slept in the cave. Secondly, ask about the person who had travelled to the east and west of the world and ask about the third spirit. On the basis of the answers to these questions, the Prophet (ﷺ) tried to find the truth or falsehood of the Prophet (ﷺ).
That is, he will answer the same question, which is correct, and the correct answer to the soul is that only Allah knows its truth, so the tradition that is listed in Ibn Jarir on page 191, Volume 15, is not contradictory to this tradition, which is in the interpretation of the Surah Israel in the interpretation of Ath 85, 47-544.
Two representatives of the Quraysh returned to Makkah al Mukarramah and explained the details of the meeting with Jewish scholars from Medina. They presented three questions to the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) and promised to answer them, but you forgot to say insha’Allah for 15 days.
15 days later, Hazrat Jibreel came with Surah Al-Kahf, in which the reason for the delay was that when it was intended to work, it was necessary to say Insha’Allah because it was not said on this occasion, so he was delayed so that this lesson could be taught. In this case, the story of the Companions of Kahf must mention the journey to the east and west of the Karnahs, and the answer to the question about the soul was added.
